Based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, Kate Lloyd provides specialist pelvic health physiotherapy for women, aiming to improve and optimise pelvic floor function and health.

This specialist physiotherapy service offers advice and treatment for pelvic health conditions including continence concerns (bladder & bowel), obstetrics, post-natal rehab, gynaecology, pelvic pain and rehabilitation following surgical interventions.  

Kate is committed to providing excellent individualised care and knows the importance of actively listening to women to understand their health concerns. Her goal is to improve the wellbeing of women by providing specialist physiotherapy care.

    A post-natal physiotherapy check is relevant for all women who have had a baby, regardless of whether vaginal or caesarean delivery. A comprehensive assessment ‘MOT’ , which includes checking abdominals, pelvic floor function, scars, and providing an individual rehab programme, is recommended from 6 weeks post-natal.

    If you have had or are planning to have gynaecological, urological, abdominal or breast surgery, physiotherapy can help prepare you for surgery and provide rehabilitation afterwards to optimise recovery.

About

Kate Lloyd is a highly experienced pelvic health physiotherapist who has gained a wealth of experience working in the NHS and private sector in London. Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, Kate is passionate about supporting all women with their pelvic health needs.

After graduating from St George’s University, London, Kate began her career within the NHS. Having developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy, Kate went on to specialise in pelvic health which has since become her passion and focus. Having worked in private practice in St John’s Wood, London and the NHS in North London, Kate is excited to now be able to provide pelvic health physiotherapy in St. Albans.
